Backups are not tested until someone restores them
A backup job that reports success tells you the export ran. It does not tell you the archive opens, that the credentials still work, or that the restore fits in the window you have.
We ask teams to schedule one restore per quarter, into an isolated environment, and to write down the wall-clock time it took. That number is the one that matters during an incident.
